Why now

The UK installer market is growing and its free pipeline is disappearing

Certified installations in the first half of 2026 were up sharply on the year before, with solar and battery both strong — battery installations roughly doubled year on year, and the overwhelming majority were paired with solar. Demand is not the problem.

The problem is where the enquiries come from. With ECO4 ending in December 2026 and no successor obligation scheme, and the Great British Insulation Scheme already closed, a lot of installers are about to find out how much of their pipeline was arriving without anyone having to sell.

Heat pumps are the sharper edge of this: volumes fell year on year and the large majority of installations are funded through government schemes. That is a market where proactive, well-briefed outreach decides who grows.

What we'd run for a UK installer

  • Outbound calling and appointment setting to UK hours
  • Qualification against MCS, EPC and tenure criteria before a surveyor is sent
  • Reactivation of old quotes and lapsed enquiries
  • Inbound enquiry response and live chat cover
  • Booking coordination between surveyors, installers and customers
  • Grant paperwork chased through to completion
  • Email, SEO and paid ads alongside the calling
Programme literacy

What your customers are actually being offered

A caller who pitches a scheme that closed six months ago loses the sale and the credibility. This is the landscape our UK teams are briefed on.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme
BUS · England & Wales
Open and funded through to March 2030. £7,500 for air and ground source heat pumps, £9,000 replacing oil or LPG off the gas grid, and £2,500 for air-to-air — a 2026 addition that brought air conditioning installers into the scheme. MCS certification required.
Energy Company Obligation
ECO4 · Great Britain
Extended to 31 December 2026, then finishing, with no successor obligation — whatever the sites currently advertising “ECO5” claim. If obligation referrals fill your diary, that channel closes this year.
Great British Insulation Scheme
GBIS · Closed
Closed 31 March 2026, and still being advertised as available in places. Pitching it costs you the sale and the credibility.
Warm Homes Plan
England · multi-year
A multi-billion-pound programme targeting five million home upgrades by 2030. The Warm Homes: Local Grant is open now through local authorities, covering insulation, solar PV and heat pumps. Needs TrustMark plus PAS 2030 or MCS.
VAT on energy-saving materials
UK-wide · time limited
Solar, heat pumps, insulation and retrofit battery storage are zero-rated until 31 March 2027, then 5%. A real deadline, and a legitimate reason to move this year.

Check the current position with Ofgem, GOV.UK or the relevant devolved administration before relying on it commercially. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland run separate programmes to those above.
Compliance

Calling UK businesses has real rules

“It's B2B so the rules don't apply” is the most expensive misconception in UK telemarketing. It is wrong, and the penalties are no longer small.

  • Screen both registers. Corporate subscribers register on the CTPS; sole traders and most partnerships are individual subscribers and register on the TPS. You cannot tell which from a number
  • Screen regularly. A registration takes time to become active, so stale list checks miss newly protected numbers
  • Identify yourself and present CLI. Withholding your number is not an option
  • Keep your own suppression list and honour objections immediately
  • Automated and recorded-message calls need specific prior consent, business or not
  • PECR penalties now sit at UK GDPR levels — this is no longer a £500,000 ceiling
FAQ

UK questions

Can you cover UK business hours?

Yes. Our delivery team already works shifted hours for Australian clients, so a UK shift is a scheduling question rather than a structural one. UK coverage runs to UK time, on UK working days.

How do you handle TPS and CTPS?

Both, and this is where a lot of providers get it wrong. Limited companies and LLPs register on the CTPS; sole traders and most partnerships count as individual subscribers and register on the TPS. You cannot tell which from a phone number, so we screen against both. We also keep our own suppression list, present CLI rather than withholding it, and identify the business at the start of every call. Full detail.

Do you understand the UK grant landscape?

We track it, because it drives your enquiry volume. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme now includes air-to-air heat pumps, which brought conventional air conditioning installers into grant-funded work for the first time. ECO4 is ending and there is no successor supplier obligation, so installers whose pipeline came through obligation referrals are losing that channel. The Great British Insulation Scheme has already closed. We are not a grant adviser — we make sure your callers are not pitching schemes that no longer exist.

Are you set up to invoice a UK business?

Talk to us on the first call about invoicing and contracting — we will be straight with you about how it is structured rather than implying an entity we do not have.

Building a UK pipeline before ECO4 ends?

Tell us what you install and where. We'll map what outreach would need to look like to replace the referrals you're about to lose.
